Principal Designer   Andrew Wachs
Andrew Wachs creates metal art forms, architectural elements and sculpture for a diverse client base. Traditionally trained in metal fabrication, and fine art sculpture, Andrew has continually stretched his imagination and abilities to create a solid foundation of craft and style.
The minimalist movement of the late 1950’s and the early 1960’s profoundly influences this body of work. Natural landscape and design are his inspiration; with the high desert landscape being a primary influence in his work. Formal composition and fabrication are the method of delivery. Metal is his primary medium and repeatedly proves an exhilarating challenge to manipulate. Rigid yet malleable, it allows for various compositions, forms and design to continually evolve.
What sets Weld design studio apart from traditional metal fabrication is our design services. It all starts with our principal designer Andrew Wachs.

Andrew’s holds a degree in Fine Art Studio Work and Art History from Western Washington University. His passion for art and metal sculpture provides  the foundation for our design services.  Andrew has also has a well rounded fabrication background having worked In San Francisco  with Mo’s Designs, Seattle with Dillon Works and architect Miller Hull. He has also honed his skills in Central Oregon working with both blacksmith and traditional metal fabricator.

Weld design studio works with Designers,
Architects, Builders and Individuals. Our
